Catherine Kirby
Catherine has always loved reading and admired the authors she read, from Enid Blyton and Frances Hodgson Burnett to Charlotte Bronte and Audrey Niffenegger.
Imagining other worlds and other times has always fascinated her. Growing up she always loved writing stories and making them into tiny, rather clumsy handmade books.
Later, She helped create a novel writing group, where together with a group of friends they took it in turn to host a full day of writing, socialising and generally having fun encouraging each other to write. They really charged each other with the energy to write all kinds of things from haikus, short stories, poems, until each found the way to begin writing a novel.

Sari Caste
Catherine's first novel got started that way. She began it by writing short stories around the subject matter and tried out different characters. She read widely to immerse herself in her subject, setting, characters and all that was needed for the story. Every minute of it was absorbing and exciting. A great deal of time was spent in book shops, libraries and on the Web searching out pieces of information and inspiration. The idea for the novel had come to her from a newspaper article.
At last she just sat down and began to write the novel. She was so charged with her need to get the story down by then it just came flooding out. There were places where she struggled but she really felt she was there with her characters.

Although a little daunted by how the first one had come to along fairly freely, once the second novel got going, Catherine found she had lots to say. This time the story ran to well over 100,000 words and it had to be ruthlessly pruned. Whole chapters and a few characters were jettisoned to make sure the story was tight and moved along at a good pace. She had such a good time with it that she felt she could have kept going for another 10,000 words at least. It seemed a better idea to spare my her readers and call a halt instead.
At last it was done and she could write the beautiful words, The End

See Through
The title, See Through, seemed the most appropriate to choose for this novel. It refers to the fact that Fleur becomes invisible (see through) and meets a group of invisible people. They've all been through some kind of trauma that has led to them turning invisible. Now the race is on. They have three months to sort out their problems and then they can become visible again. The alternative is to remain invisible forever. Fleur's main problem being that she fears her husband has lost interest in her because his ex is still hanging around and threatens to steal him away. However, once Fleur becomes invisible Sean's ex is not the only dangerous woman around and Fleur's problems keep multiplying. Can she learn how to excite her man and win him back while she's invisible? Will she ever return to normal so that they can make a new more exciting life together? What about her son and her very scary stepdaughter? Click Here to Read More
